Danette Harvey
Board Member
Danette is the newest member of the Josh Pallotta House board. She currently works for the Department of Homeland security (DHS) US Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) Service Center Operations (SCOPS) directorate Vermont where she serves as a Supervisor Operation Support Specialist (SOSS) for Budget, purchasing, mail operations, and contracting in the Human resources and Budget Portfolio. Prior to her role as a SOSS, she served as Immigration Services Analyst 2 (ISA2) in the Quality and Training unit. She also worked at DHS Immigration Customs and Enforcement ICE, USCIS as a Financial program specialist, she served in the US Army serving both stateside and overseas.
She has over 18 years of federal and civilian experience across multiple agencies, including ICE, USCIS, and military service in the Army. Danette’s journey began when she enlisted in the military in 2006. Throughout her 8 years of service in the United States Army (4 active 4 IARR), Danette served most of her time as a noncommissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) Property book office and garrison facilities. As a NCOIC, Danette managed and maintained supply offices, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense policies and procedures. During her time in service, she was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Army Service Ribbon.
After the military, Danette continued her education by completing her associate's degree in business management and accounting, as well as earning multiple certifications.
Outside of work, Danette volunteers with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) as a Warrior Advocate Leader (WAL) representing Vermont. Danette resides in Vermont and is a dedicated grassroots advocacy leader and military veteran, bringing her passion for advocacy to the WAL program at WWP. Regularly reviews and advocates for Veteran legislative priorities, meeting with, Senators, Congressional officials, and staff throughout out new England. Travels to D.C. up to twice a year to lead her group in discussions with congressional officials on current issues impacting Veterans and their families. She is passionate about advocating for mental health and suicide prevention, financial security, and the challenges faced by all veterans.

Outside of her normal work and volunteering, Danette enjoys oil painting/charcoal drawing, traveling around the world, and spending time with her family and friends.
